At the inauguration of the newly relaunched Malabar Gold & Diamonds showroom in Chandigarh's Old Mehfil Building, he expressed that his collaboration with the jewelry brand is based on a fundamental question: does the brand contribute positively to society?
It's uncommon for celebrity endorsements to be rooted in social responsibility. Sood's humanitarian efforts during the pandemic, including facilitating the return of migrant workers and supporting students' education and healthcare, have established his reputation beyond the film industry.
At the event, Sood remarked, "Many brands seek celebrity endorsements, but few genuinely commit to philanthropy and societal contributions. Malabar shares this ethos by donating a portion of its profits to the community, which strengthens our partnership."
He reminisced about an earlier meeting in Guwahati, where the focus was on collaborating for shared causes, laying the groundwork for their partnership.
Sood also took a moment to celebrate his roots, stating, "This is where I grew up, and I feel immense pride to be here today with my wonderful family," referring to the warmth of Chandigarh and Punjab.
The celebration was lively, with Sood entertaining the audience with a dance performance, which was met with enthusiastic applause from the attendees.
