Samantha Ruth Prabhu Reveals Pregnancy at Film Event

At the success celebration for Maa Inti Bangaaram, Samantha Ruth Prabhu made a significant announcement—she is expecting her first child. The actress shared this joyful news with the media during the event held in Hyderabad, stating, "I apologize, but I will need to take a maternity leave soon. I'm really excited about this new chapter in my life."

Samantha is expecting her first child with her husband, filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, whom she wed in a private ceremony at Sadhguru's Isha Foundation in Coimbatore in December 2025.

Although the news of her pregnancy had been circulating among fans, Samantha confirmed it directly, putting an end to the speculation that had been building from various videos shared online during the film's celebrations.

Beyond their marriage, Nidimoru also contributed to the screenplay of Maa Inti Bangaaram, a film that Samantha produced. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the movie explores the life of a woman who joins a traditional family as a new daughter-in-law, appearing composed while grappling with her past that threatens her new life. This film marks the third collaboration between Samantha and Reddy, following their previous works, Oh! Baby (2019) and Jabardasth, which faced copyright issues with Yash Raj Films.

After completing her current projects, Samantha expressed her intention to take a break, but she assured her fans that she would return with another film.
