Proud Moments and Lasting Memories

Reflecting on the plaque unveiling, how did it feel?

It wasn't just emotional; it was a moment of pride. I recognize the legendary status Tiger held at Winchester. His records remained unbroken until recently, and he was arguably the finest all-round athlete they ever produced. This tribute was a wonderful gesture from the school, and I know he would have felt immense pride and joy. The ceremony was truly elegant, fitting for such a prestigious institution.

What was your relationship like with your father?

We shared a very close bond! He was always present, a constant source of support. He had a unique ability to understand my concerns and provide wise advice. He was exceptional as a person and a father, and we all cherished him.

How has he shaped who you are today?

As I grow older, I find myself aligning more with his ideals and approach to life. It’s a compliment when people say I resemble him, but I often feel I fall short. Nonetheless, he remains my standard and model of what a man should be.

Do you regret not spending more time with him, especially during your rebellious years?

I’m grateful that we made an effort to travel and spend time together. I do wish there had been more opportunities. I miss him whenever I seek his guidance. Although we lived in different cities, he was incredibly supportive during crucial moments in my life.

Do you have any regrets about not pursuing cricket like your father?

I have no regrets about not becoming a cricketer! I played extensively in school and hold great respect for the sport. However, my life is fulfilling and rich in experiences; I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
