Telugu actor Ram Charan has revealed that his forthcoming film, 'Peddi', is deeply rooted in rural culture, and he believes it will connect with audiences across various age groups.

In this Telugu-language sports action drama, directed and penned by Buchi Babu Sana, Charan takes on the lead role.

The narrative follows Peddi, a talented athlete who excels in cricket, wrestling, and sprinting to support himself. His growing fame among the village children draws the ire of a jealous landlord, who presents him with a formidable challenge.

Charan describes the film as a unique blend of three sports, portraying a crossover athlete. He expresses pride in being part of a story that reflects their cultural heritage, stating, "This film is bound to inspire everyone."

When asked about the pressure of expectations following the success of his 2022 blockbuster 'RRR', the 41-year-old actor maintains that he approaches each project with equal enthusiasm and dedication.

He emphasizes the importance of responsibility in filmmaking, asserting that every project deserves the same level of sincerity and passion, regardless of its predecessor's success.

The film also stars Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, marking her second venture in the Telugu film industry after 'Devara' in 2024.

Kapoor shares her enthusiasm for stepping outside her comfort zone, stating, "Exploring new challenges is what excites me the most about my job. It helps me grow as an artist."

The 29-year-old actress focuses on delivering her best work without succumbing to pressure, viewing her responsibilities as opportunities to entertain audiences.

Joining the cast are Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar, along with Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani, and Divyenndu. The film features music by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman and cinematography by R Rathnavelu.
