Comedy with Heart

Raghav Juyal has a unique talent for bringing joy to audiences, yet he emphasizes that comedy is a serious craft. In an era dominated by thrillers and grand dramas, he and co-star Niharika NM are focusing on humor with their upcoming film, 'Bhai Tera Star Hai'. During their promotional visit to Chandigarh, they discussed not only their film but also their love for Punjabi cuisine, family ties, and the charm of returning to Chandigarh.

Chandigarh's Warmth

Raghav expresses his fondness for Chandigarh, stating, "You must experience the hospitality here." Food quickly becomes a topic of conversation. "Trying local dishes is essential wherever we go for promotions. In Chandigarh, everything is delicious—even the soil might taste good," he jokes, setting a lighthearted tone.

Deep Punjabi Roots

Raghav shares his strong Punjabi heritage, noting, "My mother is Punjabi, and my father is Garhwali." He reminisces about his friendships with actor Jayy Randhawa and another friend, Amrinder, who embodies the essence of Punjabi culture. "I've learned Punjabi," he laughs, "but maybe I shouldn't speak it here." He admires the vibrancy of the language and hints at portraying a Sikh character in a future project, excited about the challenge of speaking Punjabi. Niharika, on the other hand, admits she is still getting accustomed to the language.

A Whimsical Film

Describing 'Bhai Tera Star Hai', Niharika calls it "a delightful chaos filled with quirky characters." Raghav agrees, stating, "We need more films that simply make people laugh, like 'Hera Pheri' or 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro'. Our goal was to create something that leaves audiences smiling as they exit the theater." Raghav portrays Ajay Singh, an overly confident aspiring actor with little talent, while Niharika plays Roshni, who sees through Ajay's delusions but loves him nonetheless. Their chemistry, they reveal, extended beyond the screen, thanks to the creative freedom given by director Vivek Agarwal.

Adventures in London

Filming in London brought its own set of challenges. Since the story takes place over one night, Raghav wore the same outfit throughout the shoot. "We filmed there for nearly a month, and people must have thought I owned just one costume," he laughs. However, not all memories were lighthearted; during filming, his makeup artist faced an attempted mugging, prompting Raghav to intervene, humorously stating, "You see, yeh bhai such main star hai."

Dancing Through Life

Known as the King of Slow Motion, Raghav credits his dance background as a significant part of his career, emphasizing the discipline it instills. Reflecting on his journey, he expresses satisfaction with his progress, mentioning upcoming projects like 'King'. Niharika's path has been different; she transitioned from Bengaluru to California and finally to Mumbai, learning valuable lessons about home and independence along the way.

Finding Home

For Raghav, the film set has always felt like home. "I've been on sets since I was sixteen; the crew feels like family. Whenever I can, I return to Dehradun to recharge with friends in the mountains." As they conclude, both actors invite audiences to join them for a good laugh, highlighting the importance of humor in today's stressful world.

Release Date
