Gulab Jamun


Gulab Jamun is a beloved sweet during Holi celebrations. With a ready-made mix, preparing it becomes a breeze. Begin by placing the mix in a bowl and gradually adding milk to form a soft dough. Ensure the dough is neither too stiff nor too sticky. Shape small, smooth balls, taking care to avoid cracks. Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat and fry the balls on low heat until they turn golden brown. Simultaneously, prepare a syrup by boiling sugar, water, and cardamom. Allow the fried jamuns to soak in the warm syrup for 1-2 hours to achieve a juicy texture.


Coconut Laddoo


Coconut Laddoo is a quick and easy dessert. In a pan, combine grated coconut with condensed milk and cook over low heat for 4-5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Add cardamom powder to taste. Once the mixture starts to separate from the pan, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly. Grease your hands with a bit of ghee and form small laddus. Optionally, you can garnish them with pistachios or almonds.


Semolina Halwa


To make Semolina Halwa, heat 3-4 tablespoons of ghee in a pan, add semolina, and roast it over low heat until it turns golden brown. In a separate pot, boil water and sugar. Once the semolina is well-roasted and aromatic, carefully pour in the sweetened water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. The pudding will thicken in about 5-7 minutes. Chocolate Burfi


For Chocolate Burfi, pour condensed milk into a non-stick pan and mix in cocoa powder. Cook on low heat while stirring constantly. When the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the pan, add a little ghee. Spread the mixture onto a greased tray and smooth it out with a spatula. You can top it with chopped dried fruits if desired. Allow it to set for 1-2 hours before cutting it into your preferred shapes.



Peda


To prepare Peda, combine 1 cup of milk powder, 2-3 tablespoons of ghee, and half a cup of condensed milk in a pan. Cook over low heat while stirring continuously. Once the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan, turn off the heat. After it cools slightly, shape it into small pedas with your hands. Garnish with saffron or pistachios. These pedas taste just like the ones from the market and can be made in no time.
