Priyanka Chopra Remembers Late Uncle Raman Rai Handa with Heartfelt Tribute

On Tuesday, Priyanka Chopra shared a heartfelt message on Instagram honoring her uncle, Raman Rai Handa, who passed away on June 16 at the age of 72. In her emotional Instagram Story, she expressed:

“You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.”

She also tagged her cousin, actress Mannara Chopra, and her aunt Kamini Chopra, offering her condolences to the grieving family.

Raman Rai Handa was a respected senior advocate at the Delhi High Court and was married to Priyanka’s aunt, her father's sister. He had been experiencing health issues for several days before he passed away in Mumbai.

The news of his passing was initially announced by his daughter, Mannara Chopra, through her Instagram Stories. The family released a statement saying, “With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family.”

The last rites for Raman Handa are scheduled to take place on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.
