A Tranquil Retreat for the Star

Renowned actress and IPL team co-owner Preity Zinta swapped the excitement of stadiums for the serenity of the mountains as she arrived at MeenaBagh Ratnari via helicopter on April 20. Accompanied by her two children and family, the Himachal Pradesh native selected this tranquil farmstay, which has previously welcomed celebrities like MS Dhoni, Deepti Naval, Amol Palekar, Ravish Kumar, and Brijendra Kala, for a peaceful five-day retreat.

During her visit, Zinta seamlessly integrated into the local culture, even participating in the lively Bishu fair alongside her hosts, Akshita and Sanjay Austa. Sporting a traditional Himachali cap and a face mask, she explored the fair's stalls and purchased toys for her kids, managing to remain largely incognito among the attendees. Those who recognized her were respectful of her need for privacy, allowing her to enjoy a rare, uninterrupted holiday.

In search of a break from her busy IPL commitments, Zinta found the perfect escape at MeenaBagh, where she experienced the privacy, space, and tranquility that large luxury hotels often lack. Nestled within a vast 15-bigha orchard filled with fruits and berries, the property offers a blend of rustic charm and upscale amenities, including heated bathrooms, bathtubs with mountain views, and engaging farm activities like fruit picking and stargazing at its observatory, which houses one of India's largest privately owned telescopes.

Her days were filled with the joys of farm life, as she and her family fed sheep, rabbits, and ducks, and played with the resident cat and the friendly pahari dog, Beswa. Zinta expressed to the staff her long-standing desire to visit MeenaBagh Ratnari and was thrilled to finally make it a reality.

Before her departure on April 24, she commemorated her stay with a heartfelt gesture by planting a rhododendron tree on the lawns in honor of World Earth Day.
