Oscar Nomination for The Voice of Hind Rajab
Kaouther Ben Hania's docudrama, The Voice of Hind Rajab, has received a nomination for Best International Feature at the Oscars. Unfortunately, Motaz Malhees, who plays a significant role in the film, will not be able to attend the ceremony. He expressed his disappointment, stating, "Our film is nominated for an Academy Award. I had the privilege of portraying one of the lead characters in a narrative that the world needed to hear. However, I will not be present due to restrictions on my entry into the United States because of my Palestinian citizenship."
Assamese Film Nominated for WorldFest Remi Awards
The Assamese feature film, Moi Eti Nixhasor (Koduwa the Nightbird), directed by the acclaimed National Award-winning filmmaker Bidyut Kotoky, has been nominated for the esteemed WorldFest Remi Awards at the upcoming 59th Houston International Film Festival. This film is based on a true story and is penned by one of Assam's most revered authors, Anuradha Sharma Pujari.
