Experts warn that washing your face excessively can lead to dryness. This can result in a tight, sensitive feeling on the skin. Ironically, the skin may react by producing more oil to compensate for the lost moisture, making it appear greasier and potentially worsening acne.
Frequent washing during hot weather can also compromise the skin's protective barrier, leaving it vulnerable to external irritants like dust, pollution, and bacteria. This can trigger irritation, redness, itching, or small bumps, especially in those with sensitive skin.
