Kylie Jenner Faces New Lawsuit from Former Chef Over Pregnancy-Related Issues
New Legal Challenges for Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner is now dealing with a third lawsuit related to workplace issues, as a former private chef has claimed that an "overwhelming" workload and lack of support during her high-risk pregnancy led to a miscarriage.
The lawsuit was submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court on June 22 and includes management firm Tri Star as a co-defendant.
The chef began her employment with Jenner in November 2024 and reportedly informed her supervisors about her pregnancy, requesting necessary accommodations due to its high-risk nature.
The complaint states that in December 2024, she faced a medical crisis after being directed to "carry heavy food items across the street and uphill." After struggling to breathe and receiving help from security, she alleges she was reprimanded for causing distress to Jenner.
On February 1, 2025, while working at a birthday celebration for one of Jenner's children, the chef claims she did not receive the necessary support despite asking for help. The complaint mentions that she became emotionally overwhelmed in the bathroom during the event due to exhaustion and physical strain.
The lawsuit further details that she experienced severe physical fatigue that night and, the next morning, suffered from haemorrhaging, leading her to the emergency room where she learned of her miscarriage. She also claims to have been wrongly accused of leaving the kitchen disorganized after the Palm Springs event.
The chef was hospitalized again on February 8 due to another haemorrhaging episode.
After agreeing to move to New York, the complaint alleges that her employer misinterpreted her communication about her medical condition and relocation as a voluntary resignation, despite her intention to continue working. She was informed on March 14, 2025, that she was no longer assigned to the Kylie Jenner household, with her last working day being March 31.
The chef has accused Tri Star of various offenses, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage violations related to her pregnancy.
Additionally, the complaint mentions that she received a settlement offer via email in May 2025 along with a release agreement.
Della Shaker, the chef's attorney from Shaker Law Group, stated that the decision to come forward was significant for their client, who hopes to inspire others in similar situations to recognize their rights under the law.
This lawsuit follows two previous cases filed by former housekeepers Angelica Vazquez and Juana Delgado Soto against Jenner, Tri Star Services, and Maison Family Services, which allege mistreatment, including claims of racial discrimination and harassment, although neither lawsuit directly accuses Jenner of such actions.
The former chef is seeking compensation for damages, back pay, lost wages, and employment benefits, claiming to have endured "severe emotional distress, anxiety, depression, humiliation, mental anguish, and other damages."
