Kevin O'Leary Praises Timothee Chalamet's Down-to-Earth Nature Amidst Stardom
Kevin O'Leary Discusses Timothee Chalamet's Approach to Fame
Kevin O'Leary, known for his role on Shark Tank, recently shared insights about his co-star Timothee Chalamet from the highly anticipated film Marty Supreme. O'Leary expressed admiration for how Chalamet navigates the pressures of fame, noting that the young actor remains remarkably humble despite his rising stardom. "He’s incredibly grounded and just a regular guy," O'Leary, 71, remarked.
O'Leary also recounted his experience meeting Chalamet's mother during a visit to New York, emphasizing the importance of family and discipline in keeping the actor focused on his craft. "I spent time with his mom, and we had a wonderful time. Timothee is dedicated to his work and doesn’t take things lightly until he perfects them. That’s a commendable trait. He hasn’t changed at all since we first met eight months ago," he added.
Reflecting on Chalamet's acting technique, O'Leary was impressed by the depth of preparation the actor undertook for his role as Marty Mauser, a young ping-pong player with big aspirations. "I witnessed firsthand what it means to be a method actor. While that’s not my style, I found his approach to be exceptional," he stated.
In Marty Supreme, O'Leary portrays Milton Rockwell, a wealthy businessman from New York who develops a complicated relationship with Marty. This film marks O'Leary's debut in acting, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
