Gomes's short film, Shameless, was in the running for an Oscar nomination, fulfilling a childhood aspiration. "I've been crafting my Oscar acceptance speech since I was seven," he shares. Although the film did not secure a nomination, he takes pride in the journey. "Being so close to the Oscar felt surreal, like you can almost grasp it. The entire campaign was a wonderful experience."

Raising Awareness with 'Dear Men'

His latest project, Dear Men, is a poignant fictional short released on World Anti-Trafficking Day, aimed at raising awareness about child trafficking. "This is a global crisis, and the statistics on child trafficking are alarming," he emphasizes. The concept was inspired by real-life rescuer Dipesh Tank. "My goal is to inspire change through my narratives; if even one person is moved, that’s a victory for me."
