A Glimpse into Karlie Kloss's Life

Karlie Kloss, a prominent figure in the fashion industry and a tech entrepreneur, is also linked to one of the most influential families in America. Since 2018, she has been married to billionaire Joshua Kushner, who is the younger sibling of Jared Kushner, a former advisor to the White House and husband to Ivanka Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump. Despite her long-standing connection to the Kushner family, Kloss has never met the former president. Recently, she shared insights into her political views and experiences as a Democrat associated with a Republican family.

In an interview with Emily Chang from Bloomberg Originals, Kloss discussed her political identity and her role within a family often in the spotlight. When asked about her marriage to Joshua, she emphasized that she remains true to her values and beliefs. "I know who I am and what matters to me, but I also respect my husband's family," she stated. Kloss has never engaged in political discussions with President Trump, despite her family ties.

After converting to Judaism post-marriage, Kloss and Joshua are parents to three children. Reflecting on family discussions, she noted the diversity of political opinions she has encountered. "Growing up in St. Louis, a blue dot in a red state, I have always been exposed to various political perspectives. I believe it's possible to maintain relationships with those who hold different views," she remarked.

Kloss's Political Engagement

Kloss has been open about her political stance, having voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 election and advocating for abortion rights in Missouri. She attended the inauguration of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, where she expressed her excitement on social media, recalling her involvement in the center's construction.

Before her association with the Kushner family, Kloss was already a celebrated model, recognized by French Vogue as one of the top 30 models of the 2000s. In 2008, she made a significant impact during New York Fashion Week, walking in 31 shows and earning prestigious slots for major designers.

Beyond modeling, Kloss founded Kode With Klossy in 2015, a nonprofit that offers free coding camps for girls and gender minorities, viewing coding as a vital skill. She initially pursued coding to challenge herself during a period of burnout from her modeling career.

"Modeling allows you to embody various personas, but I felt I was losing touch with my own identity. I wanted to invest in my education and prove to myself that I could learn something challenging," Kloss explained. Today, she continues to advocate for the intersection of technology and creativity, demonstrating their close relationship.
