Healthy Fasting Diet for Chaitra Navratri: A 9-Day Meal Plan

Chaitra Navratri Meal Plan

This year, Chaitra Navratri begins on March 19 and lasts until March 27. Many who observe this festival typically adhere to a sattvik diet, which excludes grains, pulses, onions, garlic, and meat. However, fruits and dairy products are encouraged, along with flours like kuttu and singhara. Instead of regular table salt, sendha namak (rock salt) is used. This dietary practice continues until the Kanya Puja, celebrated on Ashthami or Navami.

Anuradha, a fitness and nutrition enthusiast, shares a special fasting diet for Navratri on her Instagram (@desifitnessdiary), claiming it can help individuals lose 3 to 4 kgs over the nine days if followed correctly.
