Understanding Piles

In today's world, piles, also known as hemorrhoids, are increasingly common among individuals. While this condition is not life-threatening, it can be quite uncomfortable and distressing. Those suffering from piles often experience heightened anxiety, which can further deteriorate their health. Consequently, many find it challenging to seek appropriate treatment. However, Ayurveda offers several home remedies aimed at effectively addressing this issue.

Remedies for Piles

Radish Treatment: Radishes are highly beneficial for treating piles. If a patient experiences bleeding, they can squeeze some lemon juice onto raw radish, sprinkle it with black salt and black pepper, and consume this mixture for ten days to alleviate the condition. For quicker results, extracting a cup of radish juice and mixing it with two tablespoons of clarified butter, taken on an empty stomach daily, can resolve piles within just ten days.

Bottle Gourd Application: To treat piles, take some bottle gourd leaves, crush them into a fine paste, and apply this ointment to the affected area daily for effective relief.

Sesame Seeds Remedy: Sesame seeds are also effective in treating piles. Consuming 50 grams of black sesame seeds along with 250 grams of yogurt after meals, twice a day for two weeks, can significantly improve the condition.

Chickpeas for Piles: Roasted chickpeas can be very beneficial. Eating at least 100 grams of roasted chickpeas three times a day can help treat piles, including bleeding piles. This remedy is simple and can be easily prepared at home.

Psyllium Husk Treatment: Psyllium husk, commonly available in stores, can be mixed with a glass of warm milk (10 grams) and consumed two to three times a day to eliminate piles effectively.

Papaya Benefits: Papaya is another excellent remedy for piles. Consuming at least 250 grams of papaya, peeled and mixed with ground black pepper, black salt, and lemon juice, can help treat piles and improve overall health.

Dietary Recommendations

It is advisable for individuals suffering from piles to consume more cold foods and minimize the intake of hot foods.
