Effective Home Remedies for Hemorrhoids
Understanding Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are increasingly common in today's society. While not life-threatening, they can cause significant discomfort. Individuals suffering from this condition often experience heightened anxiety, which can further deteriorate their health and hinder proper treatment. Fortunately, Ayurveda offers several home remedies that are both simple and cost-effective.
Radish as a Remedy
Radishes are particularly beneficial for treating hemorrhoids. If a patient experiences bleeding, they can squeeze some lemon juice onto raw radish, sprinkle it with black salt and black pepper, and consume this mixture for ten days to alleviate the condition. For quicker results, extracting a cup of radish juice and mixing it with two tablespoons of ghee, taken on an empty stomach daily, can effectively resolve hemorrhoids within ten days.
Using Bottle Gourd
Crushed bottle gourd leaves can be made into a paste and applied to the affected area daily, which can help eliminate hemorrhoids.
Sesame Seeds Treatment
Sesame seeds are also effective in treating hemorrhoids. Consuming 50 grams of black sesame seeds with 250 grams of yogurt twice a day for two weeks can lead to significant improvement.
Chickpeas for Relief
Roasted chickpeas can be beneficial as well. Eating at least 100 grams of roasted chickpeas three times a day can help treat both regular and bleeding hemorrhoids. This remedy is straightforward and can be easily prepared at home.
Psyllium Husk Treatment
Psyllium husk, readily available in stores, can be mixed with a glass of warm milk (10 grams of husk) and consumed two to three times a day to effectively eliminate hemorrhoids.
Papaya Benefits
Papaya is highly beneficial for those suffering from this condition. Consuming at least 250 grams of papaya, peeled and mixed with ground black pepper, black salt, and lemon juice, can help treat hemorrhoids and improve overall health.
Dietary Recommendations
Patients with hemorrhoids should prioritize consuming cold foods and minimize the intake of hot foods.
