Guru Randhawa Donates to Assam Flood Relief Efforts

Support for Assam's Flood Victims

Punjabi artist Guru Randhawa has pledged a generous donation of Rs 5 lakh to assist with flood relief initiatives in Upper Assam. This contribution is being facilitated through Dimpu Baruah, a popular YouTuber and digital influencer who is actively managing relief efforts in the most severely affected areas.

Baruah's Hello Life Foundation has successfully gathered over Rs 16.64 lakh from public donations and is set to visit the flood-stricken regions in mid-August. Their mission is to provide essential items such as food, clothing, and medical supplies directly to families who have been displaced by the floods.

The state is currently facing one of its most challenging flood seasons in recent memory.

Randhawa expressed his concern, stating, “The destruction in Assam is truly heartbreaking, and we must not allow our fellow citizens to endure this crisis alone.” He urged individuals nationwide to contribute to the recovery efforts.

This isn’t the first instance of Randhawa stepping up during a national emergency. In response to the 2025 Punjab floods, he established relief camps, funded home rebuilding, and provided wheat seeds to farmers. Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he donated Rs 20 lakh to the PM-CARES Fund.

Randhawa is among a growing number of celebrities supporting Assam, including Kartik Aaryan, Salman Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Randeep Hooda, CarryMinati, and Nishchay Malhan, to name a few.
