Fatima Sana Shaikh Discusses Love and Equality in Aap Jaisa Koi

Fatima Sana Shaikh emphasizes that genuine equality in love is rooted in mutual respect and understanding, a concept she feels is often only portrayed in movies. Her upcoming film, Aap Jaisa Koi, is a romantic drama that focuses on the lives of two distinct characters, Shrirenu Tripathi (played by Madhavan) and Madhu Bose (portrayed by Shaikh).

Directed by Vivek Soni, known for his work on Meenakshi Sundareshwar, the film tackles the important theme of equality within romantic relationships.

Shaikh elaborates, “True equality in love means that both individuals respect one another, actively listen, and acknowledge each other's feelings. An equal relationship requires compromises from both sides.”

When asked if she has experienced such love in her own life, she candidly replies, “There’s no one. The good guys only exist in films.” Aap Jaisa Koi is set to premiere on Netflix on July 11.
