How to Register for the Yatra

Registration Methods:
To register for the Amarnath Yatra, devotees can choose between online and offline methods. For online registration, visit the official website of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) at jksasb.nic.in. Alternatively, registration can also be completed via the Board's mobile app. For those opting for offline registration, over 540 authorized bank branches across the country, including Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Yes Bank, and Axis Bank, are available for this purpose.


Required Documents for Registration

Necessary Documentation:
To successfully register for the Amarnath Yatra, obtaining a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) is crucial. This certificate must be issued by doctors authorized by the Board, and only those certificates dated on or after April 8, 2026, will be accepted. Additionally, a valid identity card—such as an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport—is required. Ensure you have at least 4 to 5 recent photographs ready for the registration form. The registration fee is ₹150, which can be paid online or at a bank branch. Your registration will be finalized only after this payment is completed.


Eligibility Criteria and Guidelines

Rules for Participation:
The Shrine Board has set specific guidelines for the Amarnath Yatra. Only individuals aged between 13 and 70 years are eligible to participate. Those younger than 13 or older than 70 are prohibited from joining the pilgrimage. Furthermore, women who are more than six weeks pregnant are also not allowed to undertake this journey.
