To clean a burnt tawa, gather water, detergent powder, baking soda, and lemon juice. Start by heating the tawa on the stove. Pour water onto it, then add detergent powder, baking soda, and lemon juice. After squeezing the lemon, toss in the peels as well. Use a fork or spoon to poke the lemon peels and rub them all over the tawa. Continue scrubbing with the lemon for a while. When the water starts boiling and the tawa begins to look cleaner, you’ll know the method is working.
After a few minutes, turn off the heat and scrub the tawa with a dish scrubber. This will help remove any burnt spots effectively. If you have a non-stick tawa, use a soft sponge instead of a scrubber.
