Devshayani Ekadashi 2026: Significance and Rituals
Understanding Devshayani Ekadashi
Devshayani Ekadashi 2026: This sacred fast is observed on the Ekadashi tithi (the eleventh day) during the bright phase (Shukla Paksha) of the Ashadha month. It is believed that on this day, Lord Vishnu, along with Goddess Lakshmi, enters a state of cosmic slumber known as *Yoganidra*, lasting for four months. This event marks the beginning of *Chaturmas*, a significant four-month holy period. During this time, all auspicious activities are paused, as Lord Shiva is thought to take over the governance of the universe. Let's explore when Devshayani Ekadashi will take place this year and the auspicious activities associated with it.
When Will Devshayani Ekadashi Be Celebrated in 2026?
