Also referred to as Prabodhini Ekadashi, Devotthan Ekadashi, or Devuthani Ekadashi, this festival symbolizes the awakening of the gods. Lord Vishnu remains in Yognidra in the Kshirod Sagar for four months (Chaturmas), from Ashadha Shukla Ekadashi to Kartik Shukla Ekadashi. The awakening of Lord Vishnu on Devuthani Ekadashi marks the resumption of all auspicious functions, including marriages, housewarming ceremonies, and other rituals. The ideal time for awakening the deities on this day is in the morning, as the Bhadra period will last from 8:27 PM to 6:34 AM the following day, with the Panchak period prevailing throughout the day.
