Recipe for Amla Dish

Amla: A Nutritional Powerhouse
Amla is packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants, making it a superfood. Here’s how to create a dish using this nutritious ingredient:

Ingredients
1 cup chopped Amla
1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
2 finely chopped green chilies
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon coarsely crushed fennel seeds
1 teaspoon coarsely ground coriander seeds
1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
2 tablespoons mustard oil
1 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste

Preparation Steps

Method
Begin by washing and chopping the Amla, then boil it in a pot. Ensure that the Amla is only lightly cooked.

After boiling, take the Amla out and let it cool.

Next, prepare the spice mix by heating a pan and adding fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and coarsely crushed fennel seeds. Roast these spices until fragrant.

Once roasted, transfer them to a bowl to cool, then grind them into a coarse powder using a mixer.

In the same pan, heat 2 tablespoons of mustard oil, then sauté 1/4 teaspoon of asafoetida and the chopped green chilies.

Add the ground spice mixture to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes before incorporating the boiled Amla.

Your tangy and spicy Amla dish is now ready to be enjoyed!
