Ingredients for Baked Gujiya
For the outer layer: Flour, salt, refined oil, water
For the filling: Khoya, coconut powder, cashews, sugar, cardamom powder, raisins, and Chronji
Preparation Method:
Begin by mixing flour, salt, oil, and water in a bowl. Knead the mixture well to form a smooth dough.
Cover the dough with a cotton cloth and allow it to rest for a few minutes.
Roll out the dough and seal the edges to create an envelope shape. Gently roll it again and fold it like a book.
In a separate bowl, mix all the filling ingredients thoroughly. Take a spoonful of the filling and place it on each rolled piece, shaping it into a Gujiya. Arrange the Gujiyas on a baking tray and lightly brush them with milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 230 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Your delicious Gujiyas are now ready to enjoy!
