Ariana Grande Discusses Planned Break from Public Life After Tour
A Thoughtful Decision for a Break
Ariana Grande has made it clear that her forthcoming hiatus from the public eye is a well-thought-out choice, not a reaction to recent media scrutiny.
During a concert in Chicago, the singer and actress addressed the rumors surrounding her decision to take a step back following her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
“When stories emerge that aren’t directly from me, they can sometimes be exaggerated,” Grande explained.
She emphasized that this break had been planned for quite some time.
“The announcement made yesterday was not a spur-of-the-moment decision. It was something I had carefully considered... and it comes from a place of empowerment and thoughtfulness,” she added.
The star of Wicked reassured her fans who might be worried that negative attention had prompted her to take a break.
“That’s not the case,” Grande stated, highlighting that it’s possible to set boundaries while still cherishing her work.
“Everyone needs a break sometimes. This will continue to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional and creative journey,” she noted.
Previously, Grande's representative announced her intention to take a break after her tour, citing “ongoing public scrutiny.”
In recent years, the singer has been the subject of intense public commentary regarding her appearance and health, particularly concerning her weight. However, Grande reiterated that her choice to pause is a personal and deliberate one, not a reaction to recent media coverage.
