Aneet Padda Takes Center Stage
In a captivating conclusion to the Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI 2026, Aneet Padda, the Gen Z face of Lakme, stole the spotlight as the showstopper for Pero's Grand Finale in Mumbai. Her appearance encapsulated the essence of a contemporary work-life balance through a striking fashion statement.
Held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Padda showcased an outfit designed by Aneeth Arora for the Fall/Winter 2026 collection titled "Out of Office." The ensemble featured a sophisticated blue-and-white color scheme, moving away from traditional office attire to embrace a tranquil and escapist aesthetic that combined structure with comfort.
Padda's styling emphasized the collection's theme of transitioning from "hustle" to "holiday." The outfit harmonized clean lines with flowing details, representing a wardrobe that effortlessly shifts from professional environments to leisurely moments. It visually articulated the identity of the modern working woman—grounded yet adventurous, disciplined yet spontaneous.
Earlier in the event, Padda opened the show in a floral-appliqué outfit that set the tone for the collection's handcrafted and playful essence. This initial look established a visual rhythm that culminated in her showstopper moment, bringing the narrative full circle.
Reflecting on her experience, Padda described the showcase as both "grounded and freeing," emphasizing its focus on individuality and rhythm.
"Walking the grand finale for The House of Lakme with Pero was truly special. It felt like stepping into a narrative that balances grounding with freedom. This showcase reimagines daily routines into something more expressive and personal. For me, it wasn't just about walking the runway for Lakme; it was about embodying a mindset that values individuality, fluidity, and finding your rhythm between work and leisure. Lakme's celebration of the modern working woman is incredibly empowering," she expressed.
