Ananya Panday Encourages Support for Diverse Films

In a recent conversation, actress Ananya Panday emphasized the importance of supporting a variety of films in theaters, asserting that the experience of watching movies on the big screen is irreplaceable. Her latest projects, the romance-drama 'Chand Mera Dil' and the romantic-comedy 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', did not achieve commercial success.

Describing herself as a "passionate cinema enthusiast," Panday expressed her love for exploring different genres in theaters. She stated, "I enjoy watching all types of films in cinemas, and I would encourage everyone to experience it. There’s nothing quite like sitting in a theater, enjoying popcorn and a drink, and immersing yourself in a film for two to two-and-a-half hours. I urge more people to visit theaters."

Reflecting on her recent release, she noted that each film has its unique journey and destiny, regardless of box office performance. "Every film has its own path and fate. We received a lot of appreciation for our performances and the music in 'Chand Mera Dil'. The film was well-received, and I believe films are timeless; people will continue to watch them," she remarked.

Panday, 27, made these comments while attending Amazon India's Beautyverse event in Mumbai last week, which showcased numerous celebrities, including Shilpa Shetty, Sonakshi Sinha, Karisma Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Mira Kapoor, Urfi Javed, and Maheep Kapoor.

When asked about the ongoing scrutiny women face in the industry, both on-screen and off, she acknowledged that it is a long-standing issue that cannot be resolved quickly. "This has been a persistent challenge for years. While I may not be able to change things overnight, I can do my part. For instance, when the occasion calls for it, like today at Beautyverse, I dress up and embrace glamour. However, when I'm not in the spotlight, I prefer to be my authentic self and share that with my audience, showing that I don’t always wake up looking perfect. That’s the best I can offer," Panday concluded.
