Domestic Violence Allegations by Aditi Sharma

Actress Aditi Sharma has lodged a complaint of domestic violence against her husband, Abhineet Vidyanand Kaushik, and his family. The Goregaon Police registered an FIR on July 31, naming Kaushik, his mother Urmila Kaushik, aged 65, and sister-in-law Kirti Kaushik, aged 29. The allegations include physical and emotional abuse, verbal harassment, character defamation, and the improper use of her stridhan (bridal jewelry). An investigation is currently underway, but none of the accused have publicly responded to the claims.

The complaint details the couple's relationship, which began during an online acting class in June 2021. They cohabited in Goregaon West starting September 2024 and tied the knot in November of the same year, with both families supporting their union. However, the FIR indicates that Kaushik's demeanor changed shortly after their wedding, leading to disputes over Sharma's attire and financial issues, with allegations that he took money from her instead of contributing to their expenses. A disagreement on January 1 escalated into a confrontation, after which Kaushik reportedly became distrustful of her, monitored her phone, moved to a different room, and restricted her communication with her parents.

Additionally, the complaint claims that Urmila Kaushik has withheld Sharma's bridal jewelry, which includes gold chains, rings, a diamond ring, a mangalsutra, and bangles, despite Sharma's repeated requests for its return. Sharma also noted that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law consistently sided with her husband during their disputes.

Sharma, recognized for her roles in Apollena – Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan, Rabb Se Hai Dua, and Kaleerein, previously mentioned that she left her marital home after Kaushik allegedly threatened to tarnish her reputation.
