Actor Satendra Soni Alleges Abuse and Non-Payment in Disturbing Video
Disturbing Allegations from Laapataa Ladies Actor
Satendra Soni, known for his genuine performances in Laapataa Ladies, has shared a troubling video on social media, accusing the producers of the upcoming film Ped Palki of failing to pay him, as well as subjecting him to verbal and physical threats.
After returning to Mumbai with fellow actors Shridhar Dubey and Pankaj Sharma, Soni recounted a tense situation that arose during filming in Madhya Pradesh over financial disagreements. He claims that director and producer Pushpendra Singh had lured him to Maihar for a 10-day shoot with a mere advance payment of ₹50,000.
Despite completing nearly eight days of work, Soni reported that his remaining payments were not disbursed. He mentioned that several crew members faced similar issues regarding their wages. When he sought his outstanding payment, the production team abruptly ended his filming schedule. Soni alleged that he was given a mere 10 minutes to vacate his hotel room under threats of violence.
Additionally, he accused Pragati Chauhan, the lead actress and the producer's spouse, of verbally assaulting him. Concerned for his safety, Soni left the premises immediately. As he and his colleagues attempted to leave on foot, they were reportedly followed by the production team in a vehicle, which heightened their anxiety and fear for their well-being.
Following the release of his emotional video, there was a surge of concern on social media, especially when Soni went silent for a period. Fortunately, reports confirm that he and his companions successfully escaped the situation and returned to Mumbai. The allegations made in the video remain unverified, as neither local authorities nor the production company have issued any official responses to the claims.
