Actor Awards 2026: Leonardo DiCaprio's Film Leads with Record Nominations

The nominations for the 32nd Screen Actors Guild Awards, now referred to as the Actor Awards 2026, have been revealed, with the film One Battle After Another, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, taking the lead as the most-nominated film this year. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, this action-packed epic has achieved a remarkable seven nominations, setting a new record for the awards ceremony.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Janelle James from Abbott Elementary and Connor Storrie, known for his role in Heated Rivalry.

One Battle After Another garnered five individual acting nominations, recognizing performances by Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor. Additionally, it received nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Stunt Ensemble.

The Actor Awards 2026 will feature a total of 15 categories, with six dedicated to motion pictures and nine to television.

In the fiercely contested category for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, DiCaprio will compete against Timothee Chalamet for Marty Supreme, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan for Sinners, and Jesse Plemons for Bugonia.

For Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, nominees include Jessie Buckley for Hamnet, Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Kate Hudson for Song Sung Blue, Emma Stone for Bugonia, and Chase Infiniti for One Battle After Another.

Other notable films with nominations include Sinners, Frankenstein, Hamnet, and Marty Supreme, with Michael B. Jordan's Sinners surprising many by securing five nominations.

On the television side, The Studio leads with five nominations, while both Adolescence and The White Lotus follow closely with four nominations each.

The ceremony for the Actor Awards 2026 is set to occur on March 1, just two weeks prior to the 98th Academy Awards.
