Israeli Foreign Minister Updates India on West Asia Conflict

Jerusalem: On Thursday, Gideon Sa'ar, the Israeli Foreign Minister, engaged in a conversation with India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, providing insights into the current situation in West Asia.

In a post shared on X, Sa'ar expressed the importance of the strategic partnership between Israel and India, highlighting India's status as the largest democracy in the world.

He informed Jaishankar about the ongoing Israeli operations targeting Iran, stating, "The Iranian regime is engaging in naval terrorism in the Strait of Hormuz. This issue transcends American or Israeli concerns; it poses a fundamental threat to global order and the economy. If left unaddressed, it could escalate globally."

Sa'ar also discussed Iran's aggressive actions towards various nations in the Middle East, the Caucasus, and Europe, emphasizing the irrational behavior of the Iranian regime.

The conflict in West Asia escalated on February 28, when the US and Israel executed coordinated military strikes against Iran, resulting in the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking commanders.

In response, Iran retaliated by targeting Israeli and US military installations across multiple Gulf nations.
