US Central Command Unveils Details of Operation Epic Fury Against Iran
Overview of Operation Epic Fury
On Thursday, the United States shared a video outlining the initial "100 hours" of Operation Epic Fury. This footage, released by the US Central Command on X, illustrates the extensive US-Israeli military efforts targeting Iran. Initiated on February 28, the operation aims to dismantle Iran's nuclear and security frameworks and has now progressed into its sixth day. The first day of the operation saw the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials, prompting a retaliatory response from Tehran.
Recent reports indicate that the conflict has resulted in over 1,000 fatalities in Iran, more than 70 in Lebanon, and around a dozen in Israel since the escalation began. CENTCOM reported that within the first four days, over 2,000 strikes were executed using precision-guided munitions launched from various platforms including air, land, and sea.

According to CENTCOM, Iran's military capabilities have sustained significant damage, with more than 20 Iranian vessels reported sunk. Additionally, there has been a 73% decrease in Iranian drone launches and an 86% drop in ballistic missile launches since the operation commenced. The US military continues to advance deeper into Iranian airspace.
The video characterizes the campaign as "the most lethal, most complex, and most precise aerial operation in history," asserting that the US military is engaged in an unprecedented effort to neutralize Iran's threats to Americans, which have persisted for nearly fifty years. The statement emphasized, "We didn't initiate this conflict, but under President Trump, we are bringing it to a conclusion. Combat operations are ongoing and will persist until all objectives are met." CENTCOM dismissed various Iranian assertions as "fake news," including claims of US troop withdrawals and losses of aircraft and naval vessels. Tehran also alleged that approximately 100 US Marines had died, which CENTCOM labeled as "ALL LIES."
In related news, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is scheduled to visit the US Central Command headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, on Thursday. He will confer with CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper to receive updates on the operation's progress.
President Donald Trump praised the military's performance, stating that the US is in a dominant position following the recent strikes. "We're performing exceptionally well on the war front, to say the least," he remarked. When asked to rate the situation on a scale of 10, he responded, "About a 15." He further noted that Iran's missile capabilities have been significantly diminished as a result of the operation, asserting, "Their missiles are being rapidly destroyed. Their launchers are being eliminated." He concluded by stating, "This has been a considerable threat to us for many years. For 47 years, they have been responsible for the deaths of our people and others worldwide. We are now in a very strong position, showcasing our military strength."
