The Kisan Seva Fruit Producers’ Organization from Bharmaur has formally approached the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh via the Additional District Magistrate, voicing serious concerns regarding the increasing frequency of road accidents in the Chamba district.

In their memorandum, the committee pointed out the poor state of the Chamba–Bharmaur National Highway (NH-154A), emphasizing that with the upcoming Shri Manimahesh Yatra, the safety of the numerous pilgrims traveling by road should be the administration's foremost concern.

The document notes that while repair and restoration efforts on the highway, which suffered damage during last year's natural calamity, are currently in progress, the pace of work remains sluggish. The organization urged that officials and the responsible agency expedite the road improvement efforts to ensure completion before the pilgrimage begins, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents and potential fatalities.

The secretary of the committee called for immediate action from the administration to safeguard the devotees, with organization president Suresh Kumar Thakur also present during the memorandum's submission.
