UAE Denies Claims of Attacking Iran
UAE denies attacking Iran
On Sunday, the UAE dismissed allegations of an assault on an Iranian desalination facility, asserting that it would not treat the Iranian populace as the regime has done recently. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the UAE Federal National Council, labeled the reports as "fake news," asserting that the UAE would openly acknowledge any military actions taken. He stated, "This is fake news. When we do something, we have the courage to announce it." Al Nuaimi further emphasized that the UAE distinguishes between the Iranian people and their government, recognizing the suffering of the former under the latter's policies. Tensions in the region remain heightened following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during joint military operations by the US and Israel on February 28.
