In a recent Cabinet meeting, President Trump revealed that Iran's 'mystery gift' consisted of ten oil vessels allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This gesture is seen as a goodwill move amid ongoing negotiations. Trump noted that some ships were flagged from Pakistan and emphasized the significance of this development in the context of strained relations. Trump Unveils Details of Iran's 'Mystery Gift'

During a Cabinet meeting at the White House on Thursday, President Donald Trump disclosed that the enigmatic 'gift' from Iran he mentioned earlier in the week comprised ten oil-laden vessels. He noted that Iran permitted these ships to navigate through the Strait of Hormuz as a sign of goodwill amidst ongoing diplomatic discussions. Trump remarked that some of these vessels were reportedly flying the Pakistani flag.

In his address, Trump stated, "They indicated that to demonstrate their sincerity and commitment, they would allow us to receive eight oil boats, eight large vessels. It appears they were indeed genuine, and I believe they were flagged from Pakistan... Ultimately, it turned out to be ten boats." On Tuesday, while interacting with journalists in the Oval Office, he had described the gift as a significant one, stating, "It was a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money, and while I won't disclose the specifics, it was a notable prize."

Iran has been limiting access to the Strait of Hormuz, obstructing vessels it suspects are associated with the United States and Israel, while permitting a restricted number of ships from other nations to pass. Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi from the Gulf Cooperation Council remarked that Tehran is effectively managing the traffic through this crucial waterway and has implemented fees for vessels seeking safe passage.
