On Tuesday afternoon, a tram in Milan, Italy, derailed, resulting in the death of one individual and injuring 39 others, with several sustaining serious injuries. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM local time (15:00 GMT) as the tram was making its way between Republic Square and Porta Venezia when it unexpectedly left the tracks and crashed into a building.
