Tragic Shooting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Police Constable Killed in Terror Attack

Peshawar: In a tragic incident on Sunday, a police constable was fatally shot by an unknown assailant during a terrorist attack in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, according to local police reports.

The shooting occurred in the hilly district of Buner.

Initial investigations reveal that Constable Miskeen Zada was inside a police post when a militant entered and opened fire indiscriminately, resulting in his immediate death before the attacker fled the scene.

Reports indicate that the suspected gunman had been residing in the vicinity for several days and was reportedly being monitored by security forces.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) had previously conducted operations in an attempt to apprehend him, but he managed to escape.

In response to the shooting, police and other law enforcement agencies secured the area, gathered forensic evidence, and initiated a search operation to locate and capture the suspect.

Data from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police indicates that 122 police officers have lost their lives in the line of duty in the first half of this year.
