Fatal Aircraft Incident in Brooklyn Park
A small plane tragically crashed shortly after takeoff from Crystal Airport on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals on board, as reported by US officials. Among the deceased was Liz Conmy, a lawmaker from Fargo, North Dakota, along with the pilot. Colleagues and state officials confirmed her passing. The aircraft went down around 11:51 AM local time in a park area located in Brooklyn Park, shortly after it departed, according to police reports. Upon impact, the plane ignited into flames. The North Dakota Democratic–Nonpartisan League Party honored Ms. Conmy, recognizing her as a passionate advocate for public education, environmental matters, and government transparency. "We are utterly heartbroken and devastated by the loss of Representative Liz Conmy. Her passing is a significant loss for our state," the party stated. Kelly Armstrong also conveyed her condolences, noting that Conmy had dedicated herself to her community with "care and compassion" through her legislative efforts and public initiatives. Zac Ista expressed his devastation, remarking that Conmy "lived life to its fullest" and was known for her candidness.
