Tragic Passing of Entrepreneur and Polo Player Sunjay Kapur at 53

Sunjay Kapur's Untimely Death
Sunjay Kapur, a notable entrepreneur and polo player, has sadly passed away at the age of 53. The incident took place during a polo match in London on Thursday.
Witnesses reported that Kapur accidentally swallowed a bee while playing. His last words, heard by those present, were, 'I have swallowed something.' It was later confirmed that the bee sting led to his suffocation, which subsequently caused a heart attack.
Suhel Seth, a close friend and business associate, shared with a news agency, 'Sunjay died from a heart attack, apparently after swallowing a bee during a polo match in England.'
Kapur was the former chairman of Sona Comstar, a prominent automobile manufacturing firm. The company released a statement confirming his death due to a heart attack but did not elaborate further.
Known in social circles, Kapur was often recognized for his past marriage to actress Karisma Kapoor. He was also an enthusiastic polo player and reportedly had a friendship with Prince William, frequently attending high-profile events and polo matches globally.
His final rites are expected to occur in Delhi, although there may be delays due to his U.S. citizenship. His father-in-law, Ashok Sachdev, mentioned, 'The postmortem is currently underway. Once the necessary paperwork is completed, the body will be transported to India for the last rites.'
Kapur married Karisma Kapoor in 2003, and they share two children: a daughter named Samaira, born in 2005, and a son named Kiaan, born in 2011. The couple divorced in 2016, with Karisma raising their children as a single parent.
Later, he wed model and entrepreneur Priya Sachdev after meeting in New York. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in Delhi after five years of dating and welcomed a son, Azarias Kapur.
In the wake of his passing, several close friends from the Kapoor family, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Malaika Arora, and Amrita Arora, visited Karisma Kapoor in Mumbai to offer their condolences and support during this challenging time.
