Tragic Incident in Saudi Arabia Claims Lives of Indian and Bangladeshi Nationals
Fatal Attack in Al-Kharj
On Sunday, a military projectile hit a residential area in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including an Indian citizen and a Bangladeshi national. Reports indicate that twelve others sustained injuries from the incident, as stated by the Saudi Civil Defence.
Earlier that day, Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced they had targeted radar installations in various locations, including Al-Kharj.
Since the outbreak of conflict in West Asia on February 28, Iran has been conducting strikes against Israeli targets and U.S. assets in Gulf nations.
The hostilities escalated following a joint operation by Israel and the U.S. aimed at undermining the Iranian government's capabilities. In retaliation, Tehran has targeted military bases and major cities in the Gulf region, as well as several ships.
India's Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on March 3 that some Indian nationals have died in the ongoing conflict, with others reported missing.
Additionally, the Directorate General of Shipping reported that three Indian seafarers lost their lives and one was injured while working on foreign-flagged vessels amid the turmoil.
