Tragic Incident in Bareilly: Property Dealer and His Dog Found Dead
Bareilly News: A Heartbreaking Incident
A deeply distressing story has emerged from the Izzatnagar area of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh. Nikhil Arora, a 33-year-old property dealer, took his own life alongside his pet dog, 'Premi.' This tragic event has left the community in shock, as Nikhil shared a profound bond with his dog. The police discovered their bodies in a locked room, necessitating the breaking down of the door to gain entry.
Reports indicate that Nikhil was the only son of his parents. His financial situation deteriorated significantly due to the medical expenses of his parents, leading to the sale of his home in Bareilly, forcing him to live in a rented place. With no other support in the family, he felt increasingly isolated. Additionally, mounting debts exacerbated his troubles.
Heartbreaking Scene in the Locked Room
On the day of the incident, when Nikhil failed to arrive for dinner at a friend's house, his friend Dheeraj grew concerned. Upon visiting Nikhil's home, he found the door locked and received no response despite calling out. He then alerted the police. Constable Saurav Kumar arrived at the scene and broke down the door while recording a video. The sight inside was tragic; Nikhil was found dead, and his pet dog, Premi, was also lifeless nearby, leaving everyone astonished.
The police promptly called in a field unit to begin an investigation. A search of the room uncovered crucial evidence, including two sealed packets of buttermilk, an empty packet, and an empty container of poison. Initial investigations revealed that Nikhil had mixed poison with the buttermilk, consuming it himself and giving it to his dog.
Love for His Dog Led to a Final Decision
Conversations with neighbors revealed that Nikhil had a deep affection for his dog, treating him like a family member. Many believe that Nikhil feared for his dog's future care after his death, which may have prompted him to take this drastic step, ensuring that his dog would not be left alone.
Nikhil's life was increasingly burdened by financial struggles, debt, and loneliness, which ultimately overwhelmed him. In a tragic culmination of these pressures, he made a decision that ended not only his life but also that of his closest companion, Premi.
Police Chief Provides Insights
In light of the incident, Police Chief Suresh Chandra Gautam stated that the case appears to be a suicide at first glance. The police are investigating every angle to uncover the true reasons behind this heartbreaking event. The dog's remains have also been preserved for further examination to confirm that it was indeed poisoned.
