Tiger Woods' DUI Incident and Call to Trump

In newly released bodycam footage, golf icon Tiger Woods was seen making a phone call to former President Donald Trump shortly after being involved in a DUI-related crash in Florida. The incident occurred on Jupiter Island, where Woods was filmed interacting with law enforcement after his Land Rover SUV rolled over.

During the footage, Woods is shown waiting in a police vehicle as officers prepared to administer a field sobriety test. He briefly stepped away to take a call, expressing gratitude to the person on the line, saying, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye.” When an officer approached him and directed him back to the cruiser, Woods casually mentioned, “Yeah, I was just talking with the president.”

Authorities observed that Woods seemed disoriented and sluggish following the crash. He later confessed to consuming 'a few pills' prior to failing the sobriety test. An affidavit revealed that officers found two pills in his pocket, which were later confirmed to be hydrocodone, an opioid. During the sobriety test, Woods appeared unsteady and even hiccuped, leading to his arrest.

The accident occurred when Woods attempted to overtake a Ford F-150 that was towing a trailer, crossing double solid lines in the process. He reportedly struck the truck, resulting in his SUV flipping onto its side. Woods attempted to minimize the situation, stating, “I looked down at my phone and boom.”

Images from the arrest depict Woods wrapped in a white sheet, handcuffed in the back of a police vehicle, and later exiting the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. He pleaded not guilty to DUI charges but announced his intention to step back and seek assistance in a statement shared on social media.

Woods, a five-time Masters champion, has a close relationship with Trump and is currently dating Vanessa Trump. This incident marks his second DUI arrest in the Jupiter Island area in the last ten years.
