A significant tornado emergency is currently taking place in northern Oklahoma, where a massive tornado has been confirmed near Braman. Reports indicate that twin tornadoes have developed from the same storm system. The National Weather Service in Norman issued a Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Tornado Warning on Thursday evening, labeling the storm as life-threatening and capable of causing catastrophic damage.

At approximately 7:08 p.m. CDT, the tornado was tracked about 4 miles southwest of Braman, moving eastward at around 20 mph. Officials have emphasized the gravity of the situation, with media outlets confirming the tornado's presence on the ground and reports of twin tornadoes inflicting damage in the vicinity. This rare warning indicates a significant risk of widespread destruction.

Areas at risk include Braman, Peckham, and Blackwell Lake, as well as sections of Interstate 35 between mile markers 225 and 235. Residents have been warned that they are facing a life-threatening scenario, with the possibility of deadly debris, destruction of mobile homes, and severe damage to structures and vehicles. Authorities are advising anyone in the affected areas to seek immediate shelter in a basement, storm shelter, or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
