Chamba: While the northern plains of India endure intense summer temperatures, Saach Pass, located in the secluded Pangi Valley of Chamba district, offers a refreshing escape for travelers. Surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains and pristine natural beauty, this tribal area enchants visitors with its stunning landscapes and remnants of snow, even in the height of June.

Situated within the Bharmaur Assembly constituency, Saach Pass remains inaccessible for about six months each year due to heavy snowfall. However, during the summer, it transforms into a picturesque paradise. Even now, several feet of snow blanket the area, providing tourists with a unique chance to witness snowfall during the summer months.

“This place is nothing short of heaven. If there’s one spot on earth that mirrors paradise, it’s Saach Pass,” shared a tourist, mesmerized by the icy scenery and breathtaking views.

Recently, the region has seen a steady stream of visitors, especially families with children, all looking for relief from the sweltering heat. What began as a journey to well-known spots like Dalhousie and Khajjiar turned into an unexpected adventure for many who learned about Saach Pass through word of mouth.

While Manali is often regarded as the more popular snowy getaway in Himachal Pradesh, Saach Pass is rapidly gaining recognition. Tourists were spotted joyfully playing in the snow, taking selfies, and enjoying the sweeping vistas. Visitors from various states across India unanimously agreed that the beauty of Saach Pass exceeded the expectations set by any travel guide.

Many expressed their intention to return and share their experiences with friends and family about this hidden treasure in Chamba.

The local authorities are optimistic that the rising number of tourists will enhance the region's economy, while also advocating for improved road infrastructure and facilities to ensure safe and sustainable travel.
