Ballistic Missile Assault on Kyiv

In the early hours of Saturday, Russia executed a ballistic missile strike on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, impacting four districts. Residents reported a series of intense explosions prior to the air alert being issued. As per local reports, at least 10 individuals sustained injuries due to the assault. The initial blasts were detected around 3:38 AM, followed by the activation of air-raid sirens in the city at 3:40 AM and in nearby areas at 3:54 AM.

“The enemy is launching missile attacks on the capital. Please seek shelter immediately,” stated Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, via Telegram. The missile strikes have reportedly caused damage to civilian structures in the Dniprovskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. While officials are still evaluating the overall damage, early assessments from Ukrainian monitoring sources indicate that Russia may have deployed Iskander-M ballistic missiles or S-300/S-400 systems from its Bryansk region.
