Jaish-e-Mohammed Leader Dies Under Unexplained Circumstances

Islamabad: A senior figure in the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) passed away under unclear circumstances in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, on Wednesday (April 29). Reports suggest that an unidentified vehicle was involved in the incident that led to his demise. Salman was known to be a close associate of JeM's founder, Masood Azhar. His death marks the latest in a series of violent incidents targeting terrorists within Pakistan.

Just last week, another commander from the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Sheikh Yousuf Afridi, was killed by unidentified gunmen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. Afridi was a prominent figure within the group and had strong ties to its leadership.

Afridi was among the notable terrorists supported by Pakistan and played a significant role in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. Earlier this month, on April 16, Maulana Amir Hamza, a co-founder of LeT, was also attacked by unidentified assailants while in his vehicle. He was quickly taken to a hospital and reportedly survived the attack. Hamza is recognized as a key ideological figure in Pakistan’s jihadist circles and has been instrumental in shaping the propaganda strategies of LeT and its affiliates, making him a significant target both operationally and symbolically.
