Pakistan Reacts Strongly to Modi's Claims Linking It to Terror Attack

Pakistan's Response to Modi's Allegations
Islamabad: The government of Pakistan has voiced significant discontent regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent statements that associated Islamabad with the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, primarily tourists.
During a rally in Katra on Friday, Modi accused Pakistan of undermining 'Insaniyat and Kashmiriyat,' alleging that the nation seeks to incite communal discord in India and jeopardize the livelihoods of Kashmiris. He stated, 'Pakistan is acting against humanity, social cohesion, and economic well-being.' He further emphasized that the April 22 attack was not merely an assault on innocent lives but also an attack on the basic sustenance of the impoverished.
In retaliation, Pakistan's foreign office released a statement rejecting these claims as 'groundless and deceptive,' expressing condemnation of Modi's comments. The statement articulated, 'We are profoundly disappointed that the Indian Prime Minister has once again opted to blame Pakistan without presenting any credible evidence.'
Reiterating its position on Kashmir, Pakistan affirmed its commitment to supporting the people of Jammu and Kashmir in what it describes as their legitimate struggle. The nation also called upon the international community, including the United Nations and human rights organizations, to hold India accountable and ensure that Kashmiris are granted their right to self-determination as per UN Security Council resolutions.
