Strengthening Bonds: Pakistan's Commitment to Saudi Arabia
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan's dedication to enhancing its economic relationship with Saudi Arabia during a meeting with the Saudi Finance Minister, Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, who visited Pakistan for a day.
The meeting, which took place on Friday, also included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, along with Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
During the discussions, Sharif highlighted Pakistan's unwavering commitment to fostering cooperation with Saudi Arabia across various sectors, especially in trade, investment, and economic growth, as stated by the Prime Minister's Office.
This visit occurred just prior to significant peace negotiations between Iran and the United States in the capital.
Sharif expressed that the people and government of Pakistan have consistently supported their Saudi counterparts, emphasizing the enduring bond between the two nations, which has strengthened under the guidance of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
He also expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince's affection towards Pakistan, recalling a recent phone conversation.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the Kingdom's long-term economic and financial assistance, which has been crucial for Pakistan's economic stability.
He extended his regards to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
In response, the Saudi Finance Minister expressed appreciation to the Prime Minister and reiterated Saudi Arabia's commitment to further solidifying the deep-rooted fraternal ties with Pakistan.
The visit by the Saudi Finance Minister is viewed as a gesture of support for Pakistan amid its economic challenges.
