These special trains will be dispatched from multiple locations across the state, including Rourkela, Biramitrapur, Bangiriposi, Junagarh Road, Badampahar, Boudh, Jagdalpur, Baleswar, Angul, Gunupur, Rayagada, and others.
Additionally, trains will also connect to and from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Gondia in Chhattisgarh, and Santragachi in West Bengal on the key days of the car festival.
"This extensive rail service is designed to accommodate the significant influx of pilgrims during the festival and will greatly enhance travel options for individuals in remote and rural areas," stated ECoR.
This year's initiative represents a notable increase from the 315 special trains that were operated during the Rath Yatra in 2024, as confirmed by an official.
Passengers are encouraged to verify train schedules and availability through official railway websites and to stay informed through public announcements as the festival approaches.
